The Client

Pilbara Minerals is an emerging lithium and tantalum producer focussed on the development of its world-class 100% owned Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Project located in the North West Pilbara region of Australia. Pilbara Minerals’ aim to fast-track Pilgangoora towards production to capitalise on the widely-anticipated shortfall of lithium in global markets over the next decade.

The Challenge

CSE Crosscom was engaged to engineer and supply permanent mine telecommunications for the greenfields Pilgangoora Lithium Mine. Being a new mine operation, CSE Crosscom’s engineers and technicians worked closely with Pilbara Minerals to identify the best technology and telecommunications requirements to facilitate the new operation. Pilgangoora required reliable voice and data communications for their entire mine operations.

The Solution

CSE Crosscom’s scope of services included engineering integration, design engineering, drafting, installation and construction, and onsite technical support to deliver a complete working voice and data solution to allow reliable and safe operations for all mine operations and activities. These systems would allow Pilbara Minerals to increase mine productivity by providing wide area voice and data connectivity.
