The Client

Monadelphous is an engineering and construction services provider, who work on large, complex projects in the Asia Pacific region. The majority of these projects are in remote locations where communications within the site and between the site and head office can be extremely challenging.

The Challenge

Seamless communications on site are a critical factor in ensuring the provision of a safe working environment for all project personnel, enabling management to react quickly to changes in the environment or project requirements, and allowing all operations to be performed in the most efficient manner.

The Solution

CSE Crosscom has successfully designed and implemented custom solutions for Monadelphous, including a multi-site transportable repeater system to allow communications for remote teams whilst the construction of other infrastructure was underway. CSE Crosscom have been working with Monadelphous since 2013.

The communications solution commissioned was a DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) solution that had expandable capacity in terms of the number of sites and volume of communications required at different stages in the project, offered clear communications and a high level of spectrum efficiency. Each repeater site would be hosted by a solar powered communications trailer and included solar, radio and microwave linking equipment to provide a flexible DMR wide area network (WAN).
