CSE Crosscom extends commercial radio network offering in the NT
DARWIN, Australia – CSE Crosscom is pleased to announce that the Orion Network, Australia’s only truly nation-wide commercial radio network, has extended its coverage footprint in Darwin as part of a strategic and ongoing expansion strategy.
The network offers uninterrupted voice and data solutions to major multi-jurisdictional industry operations including logistics, government, waste management, airports and construction. Powered by Motorola’s Capacity Max technology, the latest DMR Tier III compliant digital mobile radio architecture, the interoperable solution is unrivalled in its scalability, security and resilience.
“As Australia’s largest commercial radio network operator, we are proud to be the first to include Darwin in a national network footprint,” commented James Holmes, the ORION Network’s Darwin spokesperson.
Supporting more than 10 million calls per month Australia-wide, the network offers voice communications, messaging, tracking, graphical data display and other capabilities that underpin the successful operations of industries driving growth in the Territory.
The network supports a range of devices including handheld and vehicular radios, telematics devices, desktop consoles with TRBOnet, and smartphones with the Motorola WAVE push-to-talk (PTT) over cellular application.
“Focusing on the demand for greater operational productivity and safety performance in industries like minerals and energy, it just made sense to get Darwin connected as soon as possible. The Orion Network’s integration with Motorola hardware means we can unlock a range of innovative functionality such as critical PTT voice calls, messaging, man-down and emergency duress, GPS and indoor location tracking, voice recording, telemetry and automation to keep our clients safe in demanding environments,” explained Holmes.
In addition to communications, the Orion Network provides almost-immediate data analysis and graphical dashboard display driving digital transformation in industries including aviation, construction, facilities management, security, utilities, transport and logistics.
