Project: City of Gosnells
Industry: Local Government
Location: Perth, Western Australia
The Client
The City of Gosnells is an active local government organisation situated to the south-east of Perth, Western Australia. The Council are responsible for over 90,000 residents and cover an area of 128 square kilometres.
The Solution
CSE Crosscom have been collaborating with the City of Gosnells since 2010. In this time, we have installed two types of solutions: two-way radio communications supported by the Orion wide area network, and high-end vehicle management solutions.
The Orion Network is Australia’s largest digital commercial radio network. The Orion Network is based on Motorola’s MOTOTRBO™ Connect Plus digital system, combining the robustness and reliability of traditional radio communications with the latest digital features, such as text messaging, GPS location tracking and dispatch console capability. The Orion Network provides reliable, cost effective and industry-proven solution to the City of Gosnells, allowing them to:
- Improve operational efficiency
- Increase driver safety and accountability
- Communicate and check in with remote / one workers
- Efficiently measure and report on specific areas of performance to meet required KPIs
- React to changes in environment immediately, and accommodate fluctuations in requirements
The Future
CSE Crosscom is continuing to work with the City of Gosnells to educate all stakeholders as communication technology develops to enable sound long-term decisions to be made. Our shared vision is to improve the ability for each department to respond to the requirements of the community, generate efficiency and transparency in the operations of each department, and create consistency in assets between different departments who each have very specific usage requirements.
